GHQ summons former ISI chief for explanation of book co-authored with Indian counterpart

Rawalpindi May 26 (TNS): Former Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lieutenant General Asad Durrani (Retired), who has co-authored the book ‘Spy Chronicles’ with ex-chief Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing, A S Dulat, has been called to General Headquarters on Monday for explanation over the book.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), he will be asked to explain his position on views attributed to him in book ‘Spy Chronicles’.

Attribution has been taken as a violation of Military Code of Conduct which is applicable to all serving and retired military personnel.

The Army’s military wing’s announcement came hours after the deposed prime minister  Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Raza Rabbani voiced their reservations regarding the book ‘Spy Chronicles’, co-authored with a former Indian intelligence chief.

The book has discussed important issues between the two nations.
