Water inflow escalates to 337,800 cusecs in all major rivers:IRSA

ISLAMABAD, July 13 (TNS): Water inflow in all major rivers has escalated to 337,800 cusecs due to rising in mercury level in Shardu at 36.7 centigrade.
As per the data released by the Indus River System Authority (IRSA), 309,300 cusecs water was released from various rim stations with inflow of 337,800 cusecs.
Water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1397.40 feet, which was 09.40 feet higher than its dead level of 1,386 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 178,500 cusecs while outflow as 150,000 cusecs.
The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1119.75 feet, which was 79.75 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 45,000 cusecs each.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 171,000, 158,000 and 39,000 cusecs respectively.
Similarly from the Kabul River, 45,100 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 36,200 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
As many 114,400 cusecs water was provided to Punjab, 151,000 cusecs to Sindh, 16,000 cusecs to Balochistan and 3,100 cusecs to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
