Karan Johar reveals cast for possible ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2’

Mumbai, Sept. 11 (TNS): Bollywood director  Karan Johar revealed if he ever makes Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2, he would cast actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor as the protagonists, reported NDTV.

Karan’s 1998 directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, featured the terrific trio of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji.

While hosting his radio show Calling Karan Season 2, one of the listeners asked him about the possibility of the film’s remake and the actors he would rope in.

To this, the film-maker responded, “If I made Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2, I would cast Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor in it.”

Karan launched Alia in Bollywood with his film Student of the Year in 2012. Janhvi also made her acting debut with the film, Dhadak, which was helmed by Karan’s production house.

Ranbir on the other hand, has worked with the film-maker in block busters such as Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Karan is currently working with Alia and Janhvi for his upcoming star-studded periodic drama, Takht. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in pivotal roles.
