LAHORE, July 18 (TNS):  Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Shahid Karim on Tuesday dismissed PTI chief Imran Khan’s plea seeking disqualification of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif.

During proceedings, Imran Khan’s counsel Babar Awan claimed that Shehbaz Sharif looked after his business affairs and held public office simultaneously.

“Shehbaz Sharif gave gifts worth Rs6 billion to Nawaz Sharif but did not attach money trail. Shehbaz Sharif did not show assets worth $34 million and used public office to influence matters of family’s sugar mills. In the light of aforementioned facts, order of removal of Shehbaz Sharif should be issued,” asserted Babar Awan.
