Washington, July 21 (TNS): Another blow to Trump administration as White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer stepped down.
The development is reportedly in protest at a shake-up of the communications team, American media reported on Friday.
New York Times has claimed that Spicer resigned as he was not happy with US President Donald Trump’s selection of a new communications director.
The reports added that Anthony Scaramucci who was combative Wall Street financier has been chosen to replace Mr. Spicer.
Spicer’s press briefings were making headlines; however, he was taken off from camera since few last days.
Reportd suggested that the development comes at the time when White House faces investigations into alleged Russian meddlesome in US presidential polls to find out whether Trump’s campaign team conspired with Moscow.
