Islamabad, Feb. 23 (TNS): In a horrific incident, a driver of prominent online cab service has been murdered in federal capital, officials confirmed here on Friday.
According to local police, unknown miscreants ambushed Junaid Mustafa, the 26-year-old captain of ‘Careem’, in the wee hours of Thursday and escaped taking his vehicle and phones with them.
A case of murder has been registered at the Golra police station.
Mustafa was attacked at Street 79 of G-13 sector of Islamabad.
Police said the victim was shot with a 30-bore pistol.
The deceased’s stolen mobile phones had been tracked to a location on the motorway.
Careem Pakistan took to twitter to confirm the incident and stated that the captain had been unaccompanied at the time of the incident.
