While talking to media after the meeting, Khursheed Shah said the JIT report and the resulting situation after the submission of Panama report were discussed in the meeting and PPP and PTI both parties had the same opinion.

Both parties agreed to request for a Joint Session of the Parliament to discuss the issue and the matter of the prime minister’s resignation.

Shah further said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should resign immediately as he has no moral reason to stay in power. PM’s resignation will hopefully benefit the PML (N) and the democratic process in Pakistan, he added.

According to a report, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto also agreed with PTI chief Imran Khan’s statement on the JIT report.
