COAS lauds role of Sindh Regiment in country’s defence

Rawalpindi, August 10 (TNS): Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Bajwa on Thursday lauded the role of Pakistan Army’s Sindh Regiment for defence of Pakistan and prevailing security in the country.

Army chief visited the Sindh Regimental Centre in Hyderabad, where he laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrs of the regiment for defence of the motherland. He also spoke on the occasion, said Inter-Services Public Relations.

The ISPR statement says that the Army Chief also pinned ranks to Lt Gen Nadeem Raza as the regiment’s Colonel Commandant.

“The ceremony was attended by large number of serving and retired officers and soldiers of Sindh Regiment”, it added.
