FATA MPs stage sit-in for tribal areas’ merger with KP


ISLAMABAD Oct 5 (TNS): Member of Parliament from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) staged a sit-in outside Parliament House demanding merger of the tribal areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As per details, members of the parliaments from FATA participated in the demo in front of the Parliament House.

The MPs demanded FATA’s merger with KP as per the recommendations of FATA Reforms Committee.

They demanded that the jurisdiction of Supreme Court and Peshawar High Court be extended to FATA.

The lawmakers also demand immediate abolition of colonial era’s Frontier Crime Regulations (FCR) immediately.

The protesting lawmakers flayed the government for delay in FATA Reforms.
