PM lashes out at adversaries, inaugurates road in Uch Sharif

Islamabad April 14 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday lashed out at adversaries challenging them to compare their work with the work carried out by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz-led federal government and Punjab government.

“The masses will decide in July who they will vote for in the next general election. Other parties only claim while we deliver and believe in work. Almost every major party has governments in provinces. But tell me who has delivered and who devoured funds and wasted time. It is we who carried out major projects while the others basked,” Abbasi said after inaugurating 45-kilometer Jalalpur Pirwala-Uch Sharif section of National Highway near Bahawalpur.

The rehabilitation and upgradation of the road have been completed at a cost of Rs2.5 billion under Public Sector Development Programme for southern Punjab.

The project has connected four districts Bahawalpur, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and Muzaffargarh. It will help in providing better communication facilities and boost economic activities in far-flung areas of southern Punjab.

The premier said that the PML-N cannot be defeated thought different verdicts and “we believe only in people’s verdict”. “The people will elect us again on the basis of our performance,” he said.

He also offered political parties to come forward to work out on more provinces as people in almost all provinces have been demanding separate provinces.
