RAWALPINDI June 06 (TNS): A Customs court in Rawalpindi on Tuesday issued warrants for model Ayyan Ali after she failed to appear before the court in the money-laundering case
The court rejected her request seeking exemption from appearance in the currency smuggling case .
After she failed to show up in the court, the judge issued warrants for her directing the police present the model in the court on June 21.
The model was arrested on March 14, 2015, from the Islamabad airport while carrying $506,000 IN HER BAG before departing to Dubai.
The Customs court indicted Ayyan in November 2015 in the money-laundering case but she pleaded not guilty.
Ayyan was granted bail in July 2016 after she spent four months in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
