2 injured as oil tanker overturns

RAHIM YAR KHAN, July 29 (TNS): An oil tanker carrying 40,000 liters of fuel on Saturday overturned on the National Highway in Rahim Yar Khan, and two persons including its driver sustained injuries in the incident.

According to details, the tanker turned turtle when the driver dozed off and could not control the vehicle in Rahim Yar Khan’s area Zahir Pir.

Motorway police and other rescue teams reached the spot upon hearing the news, and highway was closed for traffic which resulted in long queues of cars.

It is worth mentioning here that another oil tanker had overturned on Friday near Talagang containing thousands of liters of fuel.
