Peshawar’s first woman SHO

Peshawar July 8 (TNS): Peshawar has got its first woman Station House Officer (SHO) for the first time.

Rizwana Hameed, who was working as SHO at the Women Police Station, has now been given the additional charge of the Gulberg Police Station, making her the first woman SHO performing duty at a regular police station.

“Women are as capable as men. Women police have recently joined courses considered very tough,” Rizwana said

She said that recently a joint course was conducted at Police Training Centre Hangu in which women showed their abilities as well as mental and physical toughness required for the police job.

“I want to be a role-model for all women in the K-P police and I really appreciate the support of senior police officer in this regard,” she said.

SHO Rizwana joined the police force as ASI in 1996 and had been serving as SHO in the women police station since 2014.

The directives for the appointment were issued by CCPO Tahir Khan as part of large-scale transfers. At least 13 people were transferred and reappointed across the district but Rizwana’s appointment made headlines.

  1. I was suggested this blog by my cousin. I am not sure whether this post is written by him as no one else know such detailed about my difficulty. You are wonderful! Thanks!

  2. You have some really great articles and I feel I would be a good asset. I’d really like to write some material for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please shoot me an e-mail if interested. Cheers!

  3. I’m impressed, I should say. Seriously rarely do I encounter a weblog that is both educative and entertaining, and let me let you know, you’ve got hit the nail on the head. Your notion is outstanding; the issue is one thing that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I’m very content that I stumbled across this in my search for one thing relating to this.
