Pakistan will not tolerate drone attacks: FO

Islamabad June 22 (TNS): A day after Pakistan shot down an Iranian drone hovering in Panjgur district along the Pak-Iran border, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nafees Zakaria on Thursday said that Islamabad will not tolerate drone attacks and their violation of the airspace.

“The drone was hit by Pakistan Air Force jets as it was unidentified and flying around three to four kilometres inside Pakistani territory,” a statement issued by the ministry had said earlier.

Drone attacks are against Pakistan’s integrity, Zakaria clarified during a weekly media briefing.

He also said that Pakistan will not let its land to be used against other countries. The FO spokesperson also expressed good will gestures towards Afghanistan and an expected delegation from the war-torn country.
