بیروت مئی 8(ٹی این ایس)لبنان میں پارلیمانی انتخابات میں نصف سے زائد نشستیں ایران نواز حزب اللہ اور اس کی اتحادی سیاسی جماعتوں نے جیت لی ہیں۔میڈیارپورٹس کے مطابق غیر سرکاری نتائج میں کہاگیاکہ حزب اللہ کو اب پہلے کے مقابلے میں زیادہ پارلیمانی طاقت حاصل ہو گئی ہے۔ یہ تحریک اسرائیل پر شدید تنقید کرتی ہے اور اس کی کامیابی خطے میں ایران کے اثر و رسوخ میں اضافے کا ثبوت بھی ہے۔ لبنانی وزیر اعظم سعد الحریری کے مطابق ان کی فیوچر موومنٹ نامی پارٹی بیروت کی پارلیمان میں اپنی اب تک کی سیٹوں میں سے ایک تہائی سے محروم ہو گئی ہے۔ حزب اللہ کے سربراہ حسن نصراللہ نے ٹیلی وڑن پر اپنے ایک خطاب میں اس تحریک کی انتخابی جیت کو مزاحمت کی فتح قرار دیا۔
