Quetta, Dec. 17 (TNS): At least four people were killed and 20 other wounded in a blast and firing at a Catholic church in Quetta city.
Exchange of firing and blasts are being heard as a Church in Quetta came under attack during Sunday prayers.
A loud explosion and gunshots were heard inside and outside the church.
Police teams and rescue teams have reached the site of the explosion, and the area has been cordoned off.
According to the police, an exchange of fire is ongoing between terrorists and security personnel. The media personnel have been directed to stay away from the site.
It is suspected that Methodist Church, located on Zarghoon Road, was targeted in the attack.
Casualties are feared in the attack, rescue sources informed Geo News. The intensity of the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
Eyewitnesses say that a number of people have also sustained injuries who are now being shifted to hospital.
